Transition from Fall to Winter

We transition from the beauty of Fall to the majesty of Winter. They affirm something of our own beauty and dignity in both bright times and dark times when sometimes change is difficult. What helps us grow during these experiences?

  1. What helps us through the hard times now is the same thing my mother said: FAITH!

  2. Whether sunny days or stormy, what helps me most is Prayer and Faith. This includes:
Love, Friendship, Caring and Trust. I would add Music and Dance. They lift my spirit and I play music most of the time.

  3. Some of us have to admit we don't like hard times or much change. Yet, a whole group of us agreed that the experience of suffering or loss of some kind is the very thing that did make us grow and become stronger. Just like we want to hang onto Fall & postpone Winter. But without what seems like a barren Winter we would not have the fruits of Spring. Nature itself gives hope that no matter now bad things are, things will get better in the long run.

  5. The hard times wake us up to what we really value. A couple of friends of mine say that getting fired was the best thing that ever happened to them. It forced them to dig deep and change for the better. They are now doing what they really like as entrepreneurs.

  6. Like the trees we need what the different seasons can bring us. When deeply rooted in faith & family values, we grow stronger no matter what the seasons of life bring.
