We have a lot to learn from Native Americans about our human and non-human brothers & sisters:
"The Sioux at Prayer" Peggy Windsor Garnett
As quietly as little rabbit's feet, The morning glory sun arrives to greet The Red Man as he worships in his way. For this he asks the Spirit every day: "Before I judge my friend, O let me wear His moccasins for two long weeks, and share The path that he would take in wearing them: Then, I shall understand and not condemn."
This extrovert loves Life including, at times the plenitude of silence! I enjoy my Congregation of St. Joseph Community, family, friends, co-workers, the ideals and energy of young adults, the experience and wisdom of elders, animals, especially, dogs and horses, good conversation, humor, teaching, walking, dancing, swimming, baking, tennis and organizations like the American Teilhard Association and the Sisters of the Earth. It was my privilege to be Thomas Berry's graduate assistant. I have taught Spirituality, organized Sewing Clubs and co-produced Radio Programs in Zambia. Travels have taken me to Ireland, Great Britain, Africa, Italy and Canada. My involvements have included Spiritual Formation, Retreats, Spiritual Direction, and Workshops, along with Ecological, Interfaith, Social Justice and U.N. Activities.
