Spring makes me happy. When I awaken birds are singing. The sun has taken the chill off the fresh air. My eyes are delighted with the trees now dressed in green, pink and white. The red and yellow tulips wave, "Good morning!" Yes, this comes with hard work, especially in the garden, but it's worth the care.
This reminds me of the hard work of raising children, finding just the right amount of love with strictness, but also letting them try their own wings. To see them now as fine adult brings happiness and warmth, no matter what the season.
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," and for some of us, Nature offers us the eternal photograph of Creation in the process of creating. I won't get too deep !! It cannot be explained by words ... it is an experience of Presence and Life. Spring starts the story!
This extrovert loves Life including, at times the plenitude of silence! I enjoy my Congregation of St. Joseph Community, family, friends, co-workers, the ideals and energy of young adults, the experience and wisdom of elders, animals, especially, dogs and horses, good conversation, humor, teaching, walking, dancing, swimming, baking, tennis and organizations like the American Teilhard Association and the Sisters of the Earth. It was my privilege to be Thomas Berry's graduate assistant. I have taught Spirituality, organized Sewing Clubs and co-produced Radio Programs in Zambia. Travels have taken me to Ireland, Great Britain, Africa, Italy and Canada. My involvements have included Spiritual Formation, Retreats, Spiritual Direction, and Workshops, along with Ecological, Interfaith, Social Justice and U.N. Activities.
